By Kids, For Kids. For little actors ages 5-9.
Directed by Dawn Havican
In this reimagining of Aesop's cautionary tale with a valuable moral, a bored boy named Roy tends to his family's flock. But in this delightful version we meet a new character and discover the real source of mischief! In this fun and interactive theater class, students will learn the basics of acting, teamwork, and stage performance through games, creative activities, and rehearsals. Together, we’ll build confidence, explore imagination, and put on a delightful show filled with friendship, sheep and laughter. Join us for a fun-filled theater experience you won’t want to miss!
FOR AUDITIONS: Please work with your child to prepare a 30 to 60 second story to tell the director at auditions. It can be a real story or a made up story or a story from a book. It does not have to be memorized, and can be fairly improvisational in nature. Prep is only to keep it down to 60 seconds, so we can keep the schedule on track. The director will be looking for expression, and use the story to get an idea of how to cast your child. She may give a few suggesions and ask them to do it again in a different way, just to see how your child takes direction. There is no "right" or "wrong" - the audition is a way for the director to get to know your child a little better.
