The Unexpected Guest

DESCRIPTION:

After his car breaks down, Michael Starkwedder looks for shelter in a nearby house and stumbles upon a man shot dead with his wife standing over him, holding the gun. Unconvinced by the woman’s dazed confession, Starkwedder decides to help, but the line between friend and foe quickly blurs on this foggy night.

PERFORMANCE DATES:

Runs weekends November 22 to December 22 with a Monday Pay-What-You-Can performance on December 2.

REHEARSALS:

Rehearsals begin on September 30. They'll be scheduled Monday-Thursday evenings 6:30-9:30p and Saturday mornings 10a-1p. Whenever possible actors will be scheduled on an as needed basis.

AUDITION DATES:

September 16 & 17, 6:30-9:30pm. Callbacks as needed on September 18.

AUDITION FORMAT:

All auditions will be readings from the script.

Read with verve! Please mark all conflicts with preliminary rehearsal dates listed. I am scheming to perform in whatever British accent I can evoke from you. Please read the audition scene in your best Brit or in a highly articulate, enunciated American dialect. Note: During the rehearsal process, I will be teaching English dialects to whomever is cast.

Please note that all roles at Theatre in the Round are volunteer; however, as of the 2024-2025 season all actors will be offered a $100 stipend and be provided a new professional headshot, with rights to use it digitally or printed.
