Chain Reaction Climate Change in Conjunction with Climate Change Theatre 2023 Audition Notice

Chain Reaction Theatre Project is seeking four actors for our production of "Chain Reaction Climate Change," in conjunction with Climate Change Theatre action 2023. (Non-union only). Throughout the fall, there will be 170 theater companies in 26 countries performing plays about climate change/environmental issues, and Chain Reaction Theatre Project will be a part of that initiative.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm; at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 11000 France Ave S, Bloomington, MN.

We are seeking four actors, ages 16 and up, of any gender. There will be four one act plays performed, with two actors cast in each; and with other actors added in as needed to enhance the performance and message. Actors with strong movement skills are encouraged to audition, but is NOT a requirement. Readings will be from the script and will be handed out at auditions.

Rehearsals will also be held at Transfiguration Lutheran Church:

First Read-through: Monday, 10/2, 7 pm. Two weeks of rehearsals, 6:30-9:30 pm: 10/3, 10/4, 10/5 and 10/6; 10/9, 10/10, 10/11, 10/12, and 10/13; Saturday, 10/14, TBD. Tech rehearsals: 10/16-10/20, 6:30-9:30 pm. Attendance is required at all regular rehearsals.

Performances will take place at 7 locations throughout the Twin Cities Metro area at 7pm; or possibly matinees for Sunday performances. There will be a talkback after each performance, with various environmental non-profit representatives in attendance. Actors are not required to stay for the talkbacks.
