Everyone loves a good story, especially when it comes to life! Lucille’s mother tells her the story of “The Princess King” as it unfolds before our eyes on the main stage. Princess Genevieve wants to marry Henry, but he’s just a common cook. Of course, the king thinks this is ridiculous and takes it upon himself to choose who will be the next king and a suitable husband for his daughter. The king wants to hold a contest to find the next king. Princess Genevieve decides to compete in the contest to prove herself worthy of the kingdom. Will she be able to win the contest and marry Harry?

Where and When

Auditions will be held Saturday March 18, 2023. Sign up for a time slot between 1 pm and 5 pm. There is also an option to send in a video audition for those who cannot audition in person.

Audition Info

Great roles for boys and girls ages 9-15 as of July 1 (23 to 27 children will be cast). If cast, a $325* fee is assessed for this 3-week program with rehearsals beginning July 10. We are requesting that each child actor arrive no more than five minutes before the designated time slot. Parents who have questions should contact the director, Gina Light, by email (gmlight4@gmail.com).

Dress for comfort & movement. We ask that if girls wear skirts they also wear shorts or other pants under them. Please wear shoes, not flip-flops or crocs.

Before the Audition

A parent or guardian should fill out our online audition form. Having this done in advance saves a lot of time at the auditions. Before filling it out, please find a photo of your child who is auditioning that you can upload. It should be a JPEG file. Ideally, it should be a portrait-oriented picture of just the child, facing the camera. If you do not have this as a file on your computer, you can bring a photo to the audition. Also, when filling out the form, please have your family calendar available as you will be asked to mark the dates of rehearsals that your child will be unable to attend.

Production Schedule

Rehearsals are Monday through Friday afternoons, 1:00 to 5:00 PM
July 10 to July 28 at Riley-Jacques Barn, 9180 Riley Lake Road, Eden Prairie.
