Audition Dates: Wednesday, August 19 (6:30-8:30 pm), Thursday, August 20 (6:30-8:30 pm), or Saturday, August 22 (10:00 am - Noon)
Invited Callbacks: Wednesday, August 26 (6:30-8:30 pm) and/or Thursday, August 27 (6:30-8:30 pm)

Compensation: Actors who are cast in a role will receive a $400 stipend for their participation in rehearsals and performances.

Sign Up To Audition: Please fill out and submit our online audition form on TheaterForms and make an appointment for your audition. Have your calendar handy and be prepared to enter rehearsal conflicts. You will be asked to upload a headshot (a JPEG file) and a theatrical résumé (a PDF file) if you have one. If you don’t have either of these files you can still submit the form.

To prepare: Look at the sides and be prepared to read from them based on the character you are auditioning for. Memorization is not necessary, but you should be very familiar with the sides. Sides link

About The Show

Synopsis (courtesy of Concord Theatricals):

A Catholic school in the Bronx, 1964. The strong-minded principal Sister Aloysius – feared by students and colleagues alike – has her suspicions that one of her teaching fathers, a charismatic priest, is abusing a vulnerable pupil. Without proof, she is forced to take matters into her own hands. As the elements of her investigation come invigoratingly together like clockwork, this gripping story poses fascinatingly nuanced questions of moral certainty. Sister Aloysius is forced to wrestle with what’s fact, what’s fiction and just how far she’ll go to expose what she sees as the truth.

This Production

This production will feature immersive elements, including movement through various locations in a historic church building and some audience interaction.

Sister James - twenties, female-presenting, a naive and compassionate nun who teaches 8th grade
Mrs. Muller - Black, female-presenting, the careful and confident mother of a twelve-year old son who is the only Black student in his school
