The Gaslight-Baker Theatre is holding auditions for The Trail to Oregon, a fast, irreverent musical comedy inspired by the classic computer game. This show is loud, ridiculous, heartfelt, and unapologetically theatrical. Performers should be ready to commit fully to big characters, sharp comedy, and direct audience engagement.

Audition Dates and Times (just attend one date, reservations required)

• Thursday, January 23 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Friday, January 24 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Performance Dates

March 27 through April 4

Audition Requirements

• Come prepared to sing selections from the show, using music that will be sent to you in advance
• Wear clothing you can move in
• Be prepared for cold readings from the script

Set on the Oregon Trail, this musical follows a family determined to survive dysentery, bandits, broken wagon wheels, and each other. The show thrives on heightened comedy, intentional chaos, and actors who are fearless about looking ridiculous. Strong comic instincts, musical flexibility, and ensemble awareness are essential.
