A Wrinkle in Time

DESCRIPTION: 

A fantastical journey through time and space, this adaptation of Madeline L’Engle’s brilliant story follows Meg Murry - accompanied by her brother Charles Wallace and their friend Calvin - as she travels through the universe to battle the forces of evil, rescue her father, save humanity, and find herself. With imaginative staging, stunning visuals, and a heartwarming message about the power of love and hope, this play is a must-see for audiences of all ages.

PERFORMANCE DATES:

Runs weekends June 21 to July 14, with a Monday Pay-What-You-Can performance on July 1.

REHEARSALS:

Rehearsals begin on May 1. They'll be scheduled Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays from 1-5pm. Whenever possible Actors will be scheduled on an as needed basis.  

AUDITION DATES: 

April 8 & 9, 7-9pm. Callbacks as needed on April 16.

AUDITION FORMAT:

Please prepare a short monologue of your choosing. Memorization is preferred but not required and will not affect casting. A few monologues will be available on our website if you aren't sure what to choose:  https://www.theatreintheround.org/home/get-involved/auditions/.

Please note that, currently, all roles at Theatre in the Round are volunteer; however, all actors will be provided a new professional headshot, with rights to use digitally or print. We understand and respect that not everyone is able to commit to a show for no payment.


CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:

Except as noted, roles are open to actors of all identities – racial, ethnic, sexual, gender – and no roles assume the presence or absence of disability. AGE will not be a factor in casting.

Please Note: This is a strong, ensemble based show and the cast will be required to work physically very close to each other, sometimes as a single unit.
