Eden Prairie Players is holding Auditions for our Children's Theater Workshop!

A hilarious send-up of not one, but two fairy tales, Porridgegate will have your audiences aching with laughter...  though possibly not wanting to eat porridge ever again!  Ursula Bear buys her porridge by the 50-pound precooked bag.  But her husband Builda and her son Teddy think the porridge smells like swamp mud and tastes like secondhand fish eyes!  So only Ursula is upset when a bowl of porridge goes missing and scandal breaks out in the forest.    Goldie Locks has been arrested, but is she guilty...  or was she framed?!

Auditions will be held Saturday March 9, 2024.  Sign up for a time slot between 10 am and 2 pm at Eden Praire CityCenter (follow signs to the Heritage Rooms downstairs)

Audition Info

Great roles for boys and girls ages 9-15 (27 children will be cast). A $325 fee* is assessed for this 3-week program with rehearsals beginning July 8. 

Dress for comfort & movement. We ask that those who wear skirts also wear shorts or other pants under them.  Please wear shoes, not flip-flops.

If your child is unable to attend the audition, you can send in a video.  Information is on the audition form.

Before the Audition

A parent or guardian should fill out our online audition form. Having this done in advance saves a lot of time at the auditions. Before filling it out, please find a photo of your child who is auditioning that you can upload. It should be a JPEG file. Ideally, it should be a portrait-oriented picture of just the child, facing the camera. If you do not have this as a file on your computer, you can bring a photo to the audition. Also, when filling out the form, please have your family calendar available as you will be asked to mark the dates of rehearsals that your child will be unable to attend.

Production Schedule

Rehearsals are Monday through Friday afternoons, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, July 8 to July 25.  

Set Build is Saturday July 15 10am to 2pm.

PERFORMANCES: Friday July 26 - Saturday July 27 2pm and 7pm,  CAST DANCE PARTY and STRIKE Sunday July 28 1pm.
