On Golden Pond Audition Notice

Starring James Cada* and Susanne Egli* as Norman and Ethel Thayer

Submissions open through April 2nd. Please fill out the audition form on TheatreForms (see link below) and send a video of yourself reading ONE of the sides below to minnetonkatheatre@minnetonkaschools.org. Callbacks (if needed) will be the evening of April 8th.

PERFORMANCE DATES:
September 14 – 29, 2024

There will be a paid stipend for adult actors in this production. At this time only non-union contracts are available. Actors of all ethnicities, genders, and abilities are encouraged to audition.

See attached tentative rehearsal and performance calendar. Please make note of any potential conflicts with your submission. Performances will take place at the Arts Center on 7 on the campus of Minnetonka High School.

AVAILABLE ROLES:

CHELSEA THAYER WAYNE: Attractive, divorced, and in her forties, Chelsea is still dealing with the lack of closeness between her and her father, Norman. She is engaged to Bill Ray, whom she brings to meet her parents.

BILL RAY: Chelsea’s fiancé and Billy’s father, Bill is definitely not the outdoors type. He is trying his best to make a good impression on Norman and Ethel.

BILLY RAY: The thirteen-year-old son of Bill Ray, he is a typical California teenager who comes to spend a month with Norman and Ethel on Golden Pond while his father and Chelsea are in Europe.

CHARLIE MARTIN: The local delivery-by-boat mailman, Charlie is a long-time family friend and a typical Maine down-Easterner. Still single, he has had a life-long crush on Chelsea.
